German entrepreneur and racing driver Albert von Thurn und Taxis was involved in a serious crash during the Rebenland Rallye in Styria, Austria, when his car veered off the road and fell approximately 50-70 meters down an embankment. The vehicle was heavily damaged and had to be recovered by crane, while Thurn und Taxis and his co-driver Jara Hain were initially trapped inside before being airlifted to a hospital with back injuries. Event organizers noted that the car’s safety cage likely prevented more severe consequences, and the rally stage was neutralized following the incident. Both individuals were later released from the hospital, and Thurn und Taxis reportedly said he had “seven guardian angels” after surviving the crash.
