Description
Iga Świątek defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–5) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. It was her first US Open title and third major title overall. Świątek was the first player since Angelique Kerber in 2016 to win multiple majors in a season, having also won the French Open. She became the first Polish woman in the Open Era to reach the US Open quarterfinals and beyond. Świątek was the youngest woman to win three majors since Maria Sharapova in 2008.
