General elections were held in Singapore on 3 May 2025 to elect all members of the Parliament of Singapore across 33 constituencies. It was the 19th general election in Singapore's history since 1948 and the first election under prime minister Lawrence Wong, who succeeded Lee Hsien Loong in May 2024 and as secretary-general of the People's Action Party (PAP) that December. News outlets had described this election as "a key test of public confidence" in Wong. The 14th Parliament was dissolved on 15 April, with Nomination Day held on 23 April. A record 211 candidates contested the election, including 53 women, the highest number of female candidates in Singapore's history.
