Description

The Costa Rica national football team represents Costa Rica in men's international football. The national team is administered by the Federación Costarricense de Fútbol, the governing body for football in Costa Rica. It has been a member of FIFA since 1927, founding member of CONCACAF since 1961, and regionally it is a member of UNCAF since 1990. From 1938 to 1961, it was a member of CCCF, the former governing body of football in Central America and Caribbean, and a predeccessor confederation of CONCACAF. It was also a member of PFC, the unified confederation of the Americas, from 1946 to 1961.
