Matthew Thomas Ryan is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, primarily with the Atlanta Falcons. Nicknamed "Matty Ice", Ryan ranks among the league's all-time top ten in pass attempts, pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. Ryan played college football for the Boston College Eagles, winning the Manning and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards as a senior, and was selected by the Falcons third overall in the 2008 NFL draft.
