Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, known professionally as Tory Lanez, is a Canadian singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer. First discovered by Sean Kingston, he received initial recognition for his mixtape Conflicts of My Soul: The 416 Story, released in August 2013. In 2015, Lanez signed with record producer Benny Blanco's Mad Love Records, an imprint of Interscope Records.
