Married at First Sight Expert Mel Schilling Says Her Cancer Is No Longer Treatable
Saturday, March 14, 2026 - a2zcore.com

Relationship expert and TV personality Mel Schilling revealed that her metastatic colon cancer has spread to her brain and doctors say no further treatment options remain. She shared the update publicly while thanking supporters and urging others to seek medical checks.

Mel Schilling, a relationship expert known for appearing on the British and Australian versions of the reality series “Married at First Sight,” announced that her metastatic colon cancer has progressed to the brain and that her medical team has informed her there are no further treatment options available. Schilling was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2023, underwent surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and later joined a clinical trial after the disease spread to her lungs. Despite additional radiotherapy, the cancer advanced further, leading doctors to conclude treatment could no longer continue. Channel 4, which airs “Married at First Sight UK,” expressed support for Schilling and confirmed that fellow expert John Aiken will temporarily replace her during filming while encouraging donations to Stand Up To Cancer.
